Spend four idyllic days on this spectacular and remote island off the Pembrokeshire coast.
The main target will be the huge population of Atlantic puffins that breed on Skomer every year. These comical birds are one of the UK’s favourite birds and when you spend time with them, you can easily understand why.
Other species include razorbills and guillemots, little owls, short eared owls, as well as many other seabirds.
Accommodation is in simple but clean buildings maintained by the South Wales Wildlife Trust, right in the heart of the island.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT YOU WILL BE SLEEPING IN A MIXED DORMITORY ON THIS TOUR – YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR OWN PRIVATE ROOM WITH EN-SUITE. THIS IS THE NATURE OF ACCOMMODATION ON SKOMER.
You will also need to bring your own food for the tour onto the island, and guidance regarding this will be given prior to the tour.
This tour books up very rapidly, as is the popularity of puffins, and some people have paid a deposit 2 years in advance. Please email first on firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure space is available.
Also, due to the booking method of the Wildlife Trust, dates of these tours are not released until mid-October. Most people, in order to secure a place, book this tour without knowing the final dates.
